A LARGA VIDA AL SOFTWARE LIBRE QUE NO DEPENDE DE HACK’S, SERIALES O SITIOS COMO MEGAUPLOAD YA QUE TODO SE ENCUENTRA EN SERVIDORES 100% PUBLICOS Y LEGALES . . . The how:

Boot XP and run disk check (chkdsk c:) on the volume you want to shrink – this is a good idea
Boot XP and run defrag (defrag c:) till it’s as contiguous volume as it’s going to be
Grab a Knoppix CD and boot from it
In Knoppix get a root console and do the following
use fdisk -l to get the hard disk volumes – in my case it’s /dev/sda
fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 60.0 GB, 60011642880 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 7296 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x41ab2316

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 8 64228+ de Dell Utility
/dev/sda2 * 9 7296 XXXXXXX 7 HPFS/NTFS
Use ntfsresize –info /dev/sda2 to get the minimum size of what you can shrink it to. We will be leaving the Dell Utility partition alone the C: drive is /dev/sda2
ntfsresize –info /dev/sda2
In this case I didn’t go to the minimum size I just divided the hard disk in half 60011642880/2 = 30005821440
Use ntfsresize -s 30005821440 -n /dev/sda2 to test (-n or not really) if it seems OK
ntfsresize -s 30005821440 -n /dev/sda2
Then run ntfsresize -s /dev/sda2 to do it for real
ntfsresize -s 30005821440 /dev/sda2

Sincronizar la hora de un servidor linux / debian con un servidor ntp

apt-get install ntpdate
ntpdate ntp0.pipex.net

y luego hacemos un ingreso en nuestro crontab para que todos los días se actualice la hora de nuestro servidor . . .
crontab -e
0 0 * * * ntpdate ntp0.pipex.net

Hace ya algún tiempo que no compartía música de esta banda española… sus letras es una invitación a la libertad de pensamiento, de sentimiento y de conductas… creo que es el mayor regalo que pudo habernos hecho el creador… que nacieramos en un mundo libre, donde somos dueños de nuestras decisiones y por lo tanto de nuestro destino… no creo que haya ninguna estrella que trace el curso de nuestras vidas; mas sin embargo creo que están en el cielo para que las usemos como un mapa de ubicación.

Por cierto ha sido un fin de semana de arduo trabajo . . . pero la mejor recompensa está cuando podamos encender nuestr@s equipos y ver que todos los sistemas estén funcionando adecuadamente (vtiger y http-request)
